A student council compared how 120 students traveled to school in 2025 with how 150 students traveled in 2026. The number who walked rose from 30 to 45. Bus users remained at 60, while bicycle users increased from 20 to 30 and car passengers increased from 10 to 15. Walking, cycling, and traveling by car each increased by 50 percent in number. However, their shares of all surveyed students did not all rise, because the total number of respondents also changed. Walking accounted for 25 percent in 2025 and 30 percent in 2026. Cycling remained at 16.7 percent in both years, and car travel also remained at 8.3 percent. The bus had the largest number of users in both years, yet its share fell from 50 percent to 40 percent. The council therefore warned readers not to treat a rise in number as an automatic rise in proportion. It also noted that the survey described the respondents, not every student in the school.
